Description
The AR-15 is a low recoil rifle and with it's ammo capacity, ease of use and customization make it ideal for recreation, competitive, and hunting for all ages and sizes. Personal defense is also a reason that many gun owners choose the AR-15. But now that you own an AR-15 you probably have already been exposed to the AR-15 jargon and the volumes of "good advice" from various sources, such as Direct Impingement vs Gas Piston ooperating systems.
This class will help you sort out the AR-15 language, and includes accessorizing your AR-15, AR-15 Shooting Basics, Live Fire Drills that you canbuild upon in future pratice sessions, and AR-15 for Personal and Home Defense.

Expectations and Outcomes
Students will have gained additional knowledge about the AR-15 platform, how it operates, and what is the best ammunition for the type of shooting they plan to do. In addition students will have gained the confidence to safely operate their rifle, how to recognize and clear an AR-15 malfunction, reloading the AR-15 during a stressful encounter, how to zero their optics, along with repeatable drills to refine their accuracy while apply mechanical offset of their optics.

Requirements
This class is limited to AR-15 patterned rifles.
Students will need the following:
- Eye and Ear Protection
- Long Pants & Closed Toe Shoes
- Cropped Collared Shirt/Top
- AR-15
- 250 Rounds of Ammunition
- At least two 30 Round Magazines
- Sling, 2pt is preferred
- Weather Appropriate Gear
- Lunch
- Brimmed hat as we will be on the range for 3hrs
- If possible have a 50 yard rough zero
- Pen & Notebook
