Description
In response to requests from the shooting sports industry, The NRA in 1998 introduced this course to satisfy the need to have trained persons to oversee and conduct safe range operations without necesssarily being Certified Instructors or Coaches.
Successful completion of this course will result in NRA Range Safety Officer Certification.
Topics Covered
Subjects include: The Role of the RSO, Range Inspections, Range Rules, Developing Standard Operating Procedures, How to Conduct a Range Safety Briefing, and Recognizing & Clearing Gun Stoppages & Malfunctions.

Expectations and Outcomes
Upon successful completion, all candidates will be able to demonstrate the Attitude, Skills, and Knowledge essentail to organizing, conducting, and supervising safe range activities and operations.
