Description

Even though south Carolina is now a constitutional carry state, residents of South Carolina will need a state issed permit when transporting firearms across state lines.  it also speeds up purchases of firearms.

The class covers state mandated items such as universal safety rules, loading/unloading revolvers and semi automatic handguns, types of handgun actions, recognizing and correcting malfunctions, grip, stance, case studies, presenting from a hoklster, de-escalation techniques, children and gun safety, and South Carolina case and statutory law regrading the legal use of force in self defense.  The class also includes a 25 round range qualification and a 50 question T/F, Multiple Choice test.

Documentation Requirements

If you are a veteran you will need to bring a copy of your DD-214.  If still on active duty you will need to furnish a copy of your current orders.

All students will need to bring their S.C. Drivers License or state issued ID.

The instructor requires a copy of your Government Issued ID once you register.

You will also need the following:
- Eye & Ear protection
- Handgun and 25 to 50 rounds of ammunition
- Long pants
- Closed toe shoes
- No V Neck shirts or tops
- Lunch
