NRA Basic Pistol Shooting Course

Basic - This is the full instructor led NRA basics of pistol class and exceeds the requirements to apply for your concealed carry license.

This course will teach you the Basic Knowledge, Skills, and Attitude Necessary for Owning and Using a Pistol Safety. Upon successful you will leave this class with the confidence and abilities to properly use your firearm.

This is an objectives based course with a strong focus on safety.

Lesson II: Ammunition Knowledge and the Fundamentals of Pistol Shooting
Lesson III: Shooting Positions and Shooting Qualifications
Lesson IV: Scoring Targets, and Selecting and Maintaining Your Pistol

Expectations and Outcomes

This is an introductory course intended to help a new shooter become familiar with firearms with an importance of safety in mind. Upon completion of this course you will have a basic understanding of firearms and how they opreate.

Documentation Requirements

You will need to register online at the NRA website after signing up for class.
I will provide a link for you.

The instructor requires a copy of your driver's license once you register.

Students may bring their own firearm or use one from the instructor.  Eye protection and ear protection are required and can be rented or purchased at the range.  Minimum of 50rds of ammunition and closed toe shoes are required.  Ammunition can be purchased at the range but availability is not guaranteed. 

Regardless of ability, all students must demonstrate the necessary knowledge, skills, and attitude to receive a course completion certificate. Also, safety must not be compromised in any technique modified for a person with a disability. Please let me know if you have any disability that requuires special attention.
