Description
The North Carolina Concealed Carry Handgun (CCH) Training Course is the model course produced by the North Carolina Justice Academy. Upon the completion and successful passing of the written examination and live fire requirement, the successful students will receive a "Certificate of Completion Concealed Carry Handgun Training Course" that is required when submitting an application to obtain the NC CCH Permit. The Concealed Carry course that an individual attends must meet several minimum standards as set forth by the North Carolina Administrative Code. These requirements include a minimum of eight (8) hours of classroom instruction, PLUS, the range qualification time. The legal block of instruction must be a minimum of two (2) hours in length. A written legal examination is required. Finally, a shooting proficiency examination is required. The course of fire must be a minimum of 30 rounds, with 10 rounds being fired from the 3-yard line, 10 rounds fired from the 5-yard line, and 10 rounds fired from the 7-yard line.

The student is expected to arrive on-time.

Pass the written examination with a minimum of 70%
Pass the Live Shooting qualification.
Upon successful completion, the student will receive a serialized Certificate of Completion that must be taken to the Sheriff's Office in their county of residence (the original copy), and submit it when completing the application for their NC CCH permit.

1. Valid NC Driver's License, or State ID (Military/LE/FR/Gov't ID - if you are taking advantage of course discounts).
2. Valid identification must be presented before you can attend the course, so please bring it with you. This may be a NC Driver's License; NC State ID; Military ID, Passport, or some VALID form of identification. Thank you in advance.
The instructor requires a copy of your Government Issued ID once you register.
Requirements
Upon the completion of class registration the student will receive an email that will detail everything required, and must know information that the student must read carefully.
STUDENTS ARE NOT ALLOWED TO BRING THEIR FIREARMS OR AMMUNITION TO THE CLASSROOM. THEY MUST REMAIN SECURED IN THEIR VEHICLE UNTIL TIME FOR THE SHOOTING QUALIFICATION. NO EXCEPTIONS. THANK YOU.
