One-On-One Defensive Pistol Course

Description

Learn to carry and effectively defend with a loaded handgun on your person in public, and decisively managing possible lethal encounters.

This is the next training progression after taking the PR Law 168-19 required Firearms Use and Management course.

*THIS COURSE IS FLEXIBLE IN DESIGN. IT WILL BE TAILORED AROUND THE IDENTIFIED SKILLS OF THE PARTICIPANT, AND SCHEDULED IN COORDINATION WITH THE PARTICIPANT AND THE INSTRUCTOR.

**IT MAY USE A COMBINATION OF VIRTUAL (ZOOM MEETINGS) AND LIVE FIRE AT THE RANGE.

Topics Covered

Participants will learn safe weapon manipulation, defensive pistol marksmanship, clearing malfunctions, reloading handgun during an engagement, carry options and more.

Expectations and Outcomes

Participants will leave with a basic understanding of how to SAFELY use and defend with a handgun.

Documentation Requirements

In accordance with PR Law 168-19, all participants MUST have a current and valid Puerto Rico Firearms license.

The instructor requires a copy of your Concealed Carry Weapons permit once you register.

Requirements

REQUIREMENTS:

1) The participant must bring between 150 and 200 ammunition of the caliber that he/she will use during the course.

2) The participant must have adequate hearing and eye protection.

3) The participant must have a rigid OWB holster and magazine holder/holster.

4) The shooting range is outdoors and some of the exercises may require kneeling. It is recommended that you wear comfortable and weather appropriate clothing.
