Description
The North Carolina Concealed Carry Course is a complete handgun permit certification class designed to prepare responsible citizens for safe and lawful concealed carry. This North Carolina concealed carry course teaches essential legal knowledge, state statutes, firearm safety rules, defensive concepts, and the skills required to confidently meet North Carolina’s requirements. Whether you are new to handguns or strengthening your defensive foundation, this training provides the clarity and confidence necessary to carry responsibly.
Students will learn the North Carolina legal use-of-force standards, deadly force statutes, prohibited carry locations, safe firearm handling, secure storage requirements, and practical defensive shooting fundamentals. After classroom instruction, all students complete a live-fire qualification required for certification.

The cost of the course is $60, payable upon arrival at the class. Southern Variety requires all students to purchase the ammunition at the store before the qualification course. Targets are provided.
Please leave all firearms in your vehicle until the instructor states otherwise.
Expectations and Outcomes
Provided they get a passing grade on both the written exam and the firearm proficiency exam, they will receive their Certificate of Completion to begin their concealed carry permit process.

Valid identification is required to receive their certificate.
The instructor requires a copy of your Government Issued ID once you register.
Requirements
Bring your firearm (preferably what you will be carrying concealed), ear and eye protection. Do not bring any ammunition, you will be required to purchase that when it is time for the firearm proficiency exam.
