Description
Not every self-defense situation involves a firearm. This beginner-friendly class introduces students to a variety of non-lethal and less-lethal personal protection tools—and gives students the opportunity to try several of them.
The course explores energy weapons including Tasers and stun guns, pepper sprays, kinetic and chemical launchers, and other personal protection options. Students will learn how these tools work, their advantages and limitations, and important considerations when selecting and carrying a defensive tool.
This isn't just a classroom presentation. Students will have the opportunity to deploy several of the tools against inert targets in a controlled training environment.
There are NO voluntary exposures during this class. Students will not be pepper sprayed, tased, or intentionally exposed to the defensive tools being demonstrated.
No previous self-defense training or equipment is required.
