Description

This two-day course is the next evolution in trauma care for anyone who is interested in more advanced care in serious situations.  While the course centers on care under fire/Active Shooter situations, the skills can be used in a variety of emergencies.

-  Introduction to Firearm Handling.

-  One-Handed: Shooting / Reloads / Tourniquet Use.

 

Sunday: Range Day

-  Safety Briefing.

-  Weapons Check.

-  Ballistics Lab.

-  One-Handed Shooting Drills.

-  Tourniquet / One-Handed Manipulations.

-  Tourniquet Scenarios (Fake Blood).

-  Scenarios.

-   Two-Person Final (Movement, Patient Assessment, Care “Off The X.”).

-  Two Hundred and Fifty (250) rounds of ammunition.

-  Concealed Carry Rig or sturdy belt.

-  Tourniquet / Individual First Aid Kit (IFAK) if available.

-  Clothes that will be stained (may want to bring a change of clothes).

-  Foul Weather Gear (weather dependent).
