This is a hybrid course of the NRA's Basics of Pistol Shooting and the Texas LTC training requirement. No prior shooting experience is necessary or expected. To graduate, the student will need to pass two written tests and two live-fire tests to show that they meet both NRA and State of Texas requirements.

    • Module 4 - Proper storage practices for handguns with an emphasis on storage practices that eliminate the possibility of accidental injury to a child

Expectations and Outcomes

By the end of the course the student will be comfortable with the handling, care, and operation of handguns, as well as versed in applicable Texas law and other training requirements as listed above.
