Description
The 1 day Rifle Marksman covers the crucial fundamentals of marksmanship that allow the shooter to use the accuracy of the rifle to its fullest capability. The rifle is an iconic tool for Americans. Unfortunately, modern life does not lend itself to hunting and plinking like the decades before we became city dwellers. The essential skills of shooting a rifle well should be the goal of every owner. The idea of being a marksmen, is someone who is excellent at shooting a gun, be it a pistol or rifle. This class is for the armed citizen that sees a need for the ability to shoot their chosen rifle with skill. Just the essential skills that an citizen would need in the time of gravest extreme.
This 1 day class will cover zeroing the rifle and the effects of distance on the chosen zero. Shooting from different positions, SHOOTING FROM 25-300 YARDS (OR MORE, DEPENDING ON THE RANGE), cover, and in addition the effects of offset from different sighting systems. The crucial fundamentals of marksmanship that allow the shooter to use the accuracy of the rifle to its fullest capability. This class will will use paper and steel targets to cover zeroing the rifle and the effects of distance place on the chosen zero. There will be a scored TOP SHOT and other challenges. Your Certificate of Participation will be handed out or emailed.
Please make note that the length of the range and time management is a huge factor when it comes to making the 1 day Marksmanship class a success. Please make note that the length of the range will effect the 2 day class description. If they have the yards, we will use them all! If we are teaching a TRUE long range class (300-1000 yards), this will be in the class description and you will need to add binoculars or spotting scope, bipod and sand bag to your gear list.
Expectations and Outcomes
The Complete Combatant is collceting the range fees in the price of the class. The range fee for 1 day is $44

Requirements
IF YOU ALREADY HAVE THIS KNOWLEDGE, please zero your rifle before class. A 50 yard or 100 yard will serve you well. If 25 yards is all you have available, then please zero at 25 yards and we will adjust at class. YOUR GOAL at 25, 50 or 100: just make sure you are on "paper" and we can refine your zero on the range. Remember zeros will change with ammo types and weights. Either shoot the same type ammo or know the difference between the two.
Skill Level:
This class will require you to have safe gun handling skills
You need to be able to follow directions from our coaches
You need to have a basic understanding of your rifle and have used it during practice sessions.
Cancellation Policy: We offer no refunds. If you have to cancel, we invite you to attend another class within a 12 month period of that class.

- Rifle/Carbine
- NO 308s
- 300 rounds of factory loaded ammunition
- Rifle sling of your choice
- Rifle magazine pouch/carrier
- Notebook/pen for D.O.P.E (data on previous engagement, or data on personal equipment)
- Mat (sleeping pad, exercise mat, towel, or shooting mat)
- IF YOU ALREADY HAVE THIS KNOWLEDGE, please make sure you have whatever tools you need to adjust your sights. Same for optics, in addition make sure you have the manual or specifications for the adjustments for the optics. Some are MOA (minute of angle) and some are Mils (Milliradians).
- A sturdy belt for rifle magazine pouch (try your gear on prior to class)
- Extra magazines. We recommend 3 for this class if possible
- Eye & ear protection (foam inserts or muffs – electronic muffs recommended)
- Proper OUTDOOR weather attire
- Don't forget your LockedIn Grip Liquid Shooting Sports Chalk.
- Hat with bill.... this is WHY!
- Sunblock and bug spray (as needed)
- 1 Gallon of hydration and a sack lunch (30-45 minute lunch) per day
