Course Focus: Life-Saving Blood Control Techniques for Emergencies
This essential 3-hour indoor course focuses on immediate, life-saving trauma response, a crucial skill for anyone who carries a firearm or wishes to be prepared for an emergency. You will gain the knowledge and hands-on skills necessary to control massive hemorrhage caused by accidents, penetrating trauma, or other life-threatening injuries.
What You Will Master:
- Proper Use of Tourniquets & Hemostatic Agents: Hands-on training in applying and using commercial tourniquets and hemostatic gauze effectively to stop severe bleeding.
- Wound Packing & Pressure Bandaging: Practical instruction on packing severe wounds and applying pressure dressings to control non-extremity or junctional bleeding.
- Identifying & Treating Different Types of Bleeding: Learn to quickly identify arterial, venous, and capillary bleeding and prioritize treatment.
- Tactical Trauma Response & Emergency Scenarios: Integration of medical skills into a high-stress scenario, including self-aid and aid under fire principles.
- Hands-On Application: Intensive practice using provided training materials (tourniquets, wound simulators, and inert agents) only.
