Course Focus: Mastering Cover & Concealment for Defensive Shooting
This intensive 5-hour live-fire range course is dedicated to teaching the critical skill of integrating your firearm with the environment. You will learn the difference between cover (stops bullets) and concealment (hides you) and how to use both effectively to minimize exposure while maintaining the ability to engage threats.
What You Will Master:
- Proper Use of Cover & Concealment: Understand the tactical differences between cover and concealment and how to quickly assess and utilize available resources in a defensive situation.
- Shooting from Behind Cover with Minimal Exposure: Learn advanced techniques (like slicing the pie) for engaging targets from various angles of cover while keeping your body protected.
- Movement & Positioning for Tactical Advantage: Practice dynamic drills that incorporate moving to and utilizing cover effectively to improve your defensive position.
- Live Fire Drills for Realistic Engagement: Reinforce learned techniques under live fire, demonstrating speed and accuracy while fighting from behind cover.
- Integrated Holster Training: Practice drawing from your Concealed or Outside-the-Waistband (OWB) Holster and moving to cover.

Requirements
📝 Important Course Notes
- Prerequisite: Completion of previous Handgun Levels (or equivalent verifiable skill) is highly recommended due to the intensive nature of the drills.
- Training Environment: This is an intensive 5-hour range training session involving live fire and dynamic movement.
- Required Firearm: All students must bring and use their own personal, operational handgun.
- Ammunition Requirement: All students must bring 300 rounds of FMJ 9mm ammunition.
- Required Equipment: Students must bring a durable Concealed or Outside-the-Waistband (OWB) Holster and at least two operational magazines with a dedicated magazine pouch.
- Safety Gear: Proper range attire, eye protection, and ear protection are mandatory. Knee pads are strongly recommended due to positional shooting drills.
- Course Cost: The course fee is $385 total.
