Course Focus: Tactical Movement Concepts for Defensive Shooting
This intensive 3-hour live-fire range course is dedicated to mastering the art of movement and engagement in a dynamic environment. You will learn to effectively shoot while advancing, retreating, and moving laterally, ensuring you can maintain accuracy and control while seeking cover or creating distance in a defensive situation.
What You Will Master:
- Shooting While Advancing, Retreating & Moving Laterally: Practice dynamic footwork and body mechanics to maintain a stable shooting platform while moving in multiple directions.
- Engaging Threats from Various Positions: Seamlessly transition between movement and shooting from different stationary and dynamic positions.
- Balance, Footwork & Stability Under Fire: Develop the coordination and technique necessary to maintain balance and stability, optimizing your sight picture and trigger control while mobile.
- Live Fire Drills for Real-World Application: Engage in challenging drills that require movement, testing your ability to process information and execute shots accurately while performing tactical actions.

Requirements
📝 Important Course Notes
- Prerequisite: Completion of previous Handgun Levels (especially those covering draw strokes, recoil management, and positional shooting) is highly recommended.
- Training Environment: This is an intensive 3-hour range training session involving live fire and dynamic movement. Students must be physically capable of moving quickly and changing position repeatedly.
- Required Firearm: All students must bring and use their own personal, operational handgun.
- Ammunition Requirement: All students must bring 300 rounds of FMJ 9mm ammunition.
- Required Equipment: Students must bring a durable Outside-the-Waistband (OWB) Holster (concealed carry is acceptable but OWB is preferred for safety in dynamic drills) and at least two operational magazines with a dedicated magazine pouch.
- Safety Gear: Proper range attire, eye protection, and ear protection are mandatory. Sturdy, closed-toe shoes and durable clothing are essential.
- Course Cost: The course fee is $260 total.
