Course Focus: Vehicle Defense & Engagement Tactics in Parking Lot Encounters
This intensive 4-hour specialized training course is designed to address the unique complexities of a defensive encounter in and around a vehicle—a high-risk location where many attacks occur. Utilizing SIRT and Simunitions, you will practice tactical movement, drawing, and engagement, leveraging your vehicle for cover and defense.
What You Will Master:
- Drawing & Engaging from Inside a Vehicle: Master the compressed and complicated draw stroke required to safely deploy a concealed firearm while seated inside a car.
- Exiting & Using the Vehicle as Cover: Learn effective techniques for safely exiting a vehicle under duress and utilizing engine blocks, pillars, and door gaps for cover while engaging a threat.
- Shooting from Seated & Standing Positions: Practice engaging targets from inside the vehicle (seated) and immediately upon exiting (standing).
- Countering Carjackings & Ambush Scenarios: Participate in realistic, scenario-based drills to test your response to common vehicle-based threats.
- Tactical Movement & Situational Awareness in Parking Lots: Develop heightened awareness and tactical movement skills for navigating common parking lot threats.

Requirements
📝 Important Course Notes
- Prerequisite: Due to the complexity and safety risks, completion of Handgun Levels 13 and 15 (or verifiable expert-level draw and maneuver skills) is highly recommended.
- Training Environment: This is an intensive 4-hour scenario-based training session conducted in a controlled parking lot environment. It is NON-LIVE FIRE and utilizes inert training devices. NO LIVE AMMUNITION IS PERMITTED on the training ground.
- Required Holster: A Concealed or OWB Holster is Required for drawing practice.
- Required Equipment:
- Students must bring their personal carry setup (holster and carry method used daily) and any magazine pouches.
- NO SERPA-style holsters will be permitted.
- Simulations Gear: The course will utilize SIRT and Simunition-capable firearms (provided by the instructor) for all drills.
- Safety Policy: All students must arrive with an unloaded and cleared firearm which, along with all live ammunition, MUST be left secured in your vehicle.
- Course Cost: The course fee is $290 total.
