Course Focus: Elite Weapon Retention, Grappling, and Scenario Mastery
This 4-hour indoor training course is the most comprehensive and physically demanding session in your defensive tactics lineup, focused entirely on prevailing against threats in extreme close-quarters. Utilizing Simunitions and inert weapons, this course pushes students to integrate physical defense, weapon retention, and tactical decision-making against dynamic, resistive attackers.
What You Will Master:
- Advanced Weapon Retention & Ground Fighting: Master techniques to maintain control of your firearm when physically assaulted, including fighting back from the ground.
- Defensive Grappling & Counter-Assault Techniques: Learn effective, survival-based grappling principles to create space, escape holds, and transition from physical defense to a decisive tactical advantage.
- Multiple Attacker Defense Strategies: Introduction to movement and positioning strategies for managing and disengaging from more than one threat.

Requirements
📝 Important Course Notes
- Prerequisite: Completion of Defensive Tactics 1, 2, and 3 (or verifiable expert-level skill in weapon retention, grappling, and close-quarters defense) is mandatory.
- Training Environment: This is an intensive 4-hour indoor training session involving dynamic, physical contact and Simunitions training. It is strictly NON-LIVE FIRE. NO LIVE AMMUNITION IS PERMITTED in the training area.
- Required Firearm: Students are required to bring their everyday carry handgun and all magazines to the class. ALL AMMUNITION MUST BE LEFT SECURED IN YOUR VEHICLE.
- Training Pistol: The course will utilize Inert Training Firearms and Simunition-capable firearms (provided by the instructor) for all drills.
- Required Equipment:
- Students must bring their personal concealed carry setup (holster and carry method used daily) and any magazine pouches.
- NO SERPA-style holsters will be permitted due to safety concerns.
- Protective Gear: All students will be provided with and required to wear protective equipment for Simunitions/force-on-force training (mask, neck protection). Mouthguards, protective cups, and knee pads are strongly recommended.
- Physical Activity: This course involves dynamic, high-intensity physical contact, including grappling and ground work. Please wear comfortable, durable clothing.
- Safety Policy: All students must arrive with an unloaded and cleared firearm which will be immediately inspected by the instructor.
