Description

This course is at least eight hours long and includes both classroom and range time instruction.  This is the perfect class for those who want to learn how to shoot a rifle.  No prior experience required.  This class is also a prerequisite for those interested in becoming NRA Rifle Instructors.  The range we will be shooting at is the most modern, beautiful range in Maryland!  

Students will learn NRA’s rules for safe gun handling, rifle parts and operation, and be able to experience different types of rifles including bolt-action, lever-action, semi automatic, falling block, rolling block, pump action and break action. 

Students will learn about ammunition, shooting fundamentals, range rules, shooting from the bench rest, prone, sitting, standing, and kneeling positions, cleaning, and continued opportunities for skill development. 

If you own a Rifle, please bring it with you along with eye protection, ear protection, and 100 rounds of ammunition.  Please leave your ammunition in your car until instructed otherwise.  If you don't own a rifle one will be provided to you.  Just let the instructor know in advance.  Class will start at 9:00AM.
