Description
The Run and Gun Training event in Derby, North Carolina, is designed for shooters who want to test their gear, skills, and physical readiness under realistic conditions. This run and gun training session is not a competition—it's a structured gear shakedown designed to expose weaknesses in equipment, reveal training gaps, and prepare you for real-world defensive performance. If you carry daily, train regularly, or rely on your gear in critical moments, this event gives you the honest feedback you need.
Participants will work through multiple stages that challenge movement, reloads, malfunction handling, transitions, and decision-making. The goal isn’t perfection—it’s discovery. You’ll learn what works, what fails, and what needs improvement long before a crisis demands it.
During this run-and-gun training event, shooters will complete:
- Gear reliability testing under movement
- Timed stage-based shooting problems
- Malfunction and reload pressure drills
- Target identification and accountability
- Physical exertion paired with accuracy standards
- After-action review to evaluate equipment and technique
- Walkers: Perfect for beginners or those who prefer a slower pace, allowing them to focus intensively on their marksmanship.
- Joggers: Ideal for intermediate enthusiasts who want a balance of movement and shooting.
- Runners: Suited for advanced participants ready to push their limits with a more dynamic and fast-paced experience.
The total course will cover no more than 2 miles, likely around 1.5 miles, allowing for concentrated training without excessive fatigue.
Prepare to elevate your Run & Gun capabilities in a friendly, formative setting with Trace Armory Group. Whether you're a Walker, Jogger, or Runner, our Gear Shakedown Training Event is the perfect opportunity to ensure that both you and your gear are competition-ready.
