Welcome to our comprehensive Armed Guard Training program designed specifically for individuals and companies looking to obtain or renew their armed status certification within the City & County of Denver. Our program is meticulously crafted to meet and exceed the Denver Municipal Ordinance requirements, ensuring that all security personnel are well-prepared and qualified to perform security tasks while openly carrying a firearm in Denver’s jurisdiction.

Our training program is essential for new guards seeking an armed endorsement and for those looking to renew their current armed status. It is a requirement that must be fulfilled yearly, in line with the directives set by the City & County of Denver. By enrolling in our program, participants will not only meet local legal requirements but also enhance their skills and knowledge in handling firearms safely and effectively.

Denver’s Excise & Licensing mandates that anyone performing security duties while visibly armed must obtain a security guard license with an “Armed” status. Our course is designed to fulfill all these requirements, providing comprehensive training that encompasses both theoretical knowledge and practical skills.

• Armed Class Overview:
• 5-Hour Classroom Session: Engage in in-depth discussions on firearm safety, legal aspects of using force, and the responsibilities of an armed guard.
• 4-Hour Firearms Training: Gain hands-on experience with your firearm, focusing on accuracy, handling, and safety.
• Qualification Test: Demonstrate your proficiency with a minimum pass rate of 80%.
• Annual Renewal: Stay compliant with Denver’s mandate for yearly renewal of armed status by re-qualifying through our program.

Participants are required to bring the following equipment to their training sessions:

• A full-sized handgun
• Three magazines
• A properly fitting OWB holster (Level 1 or higher)
• A Proper Gun Belt
• Dual magazine holder
• Ear and eye protection
• 300 rounds of ammunition (for both new training and renewal)
• Targets

• Armed Training (New or Renewal): $250 per student for a comprehensive 1-day session.
• Range Fee (4 Hours): This varies by range and is not included in the training cost.

Note: Please be aware that we do not provide handguns, gear, ammunition, range fees, protective equipment, or lunch. All these are the responsibility of the participant or their sponsoring company.
