Description
Take the next step in your firearms training career with our comprehensive Firearms Instructor Development Course. This program is designed for experienced shooters, security professionals, CCW holders, and aspiring instructors who want to develop the skills needed to teach firearm safety, marksmanship, and defensive shooting concepts professionally.
Students will learn instructional techniques, range safety procedures, coaching methods, student evaluation, lesson planning, and live-fire training standards. This course focuses not only on shooting proficiency, but also on becoming an effective communicator and professional firearms educator.
Training is led by Mark Schneider, NRA Training Counselor, certified instructor, and Training Manager with extensive experience in firearms instruction, private security, and defensive training. Mark was also awarded “Top Gun” in NRA Training Counselor Class 202605.

Documentation Requirements
Students must provide the following prior to or at the start of class:
- Valid government-issued photo ID
- Proof of U.S. citizenship or lawful presence
- ONE of the following:
- Valid Concealed Handgun Permit (CHP/CCW), OR
- Current CBI background check
Failure to provide required documentation may result in denial of participation in the course.
The instructor requires a copy of your Government Issued ID once you register.
The instructor requires a copy of your Concealed Carry Weapons permit once you register.
Requirements

- Reliable semi-automatic handgun
- Minimum of 3 magazines
- Strong-side holster
- Eye and ear protection
- 300 rounds of ammunition
- Note-taking materials
- Appropriate range attire
Students must also provide:
