Applicable to everyone from total novice to CCW applicant, this is a full day classroom education course covering the entire Powerpoint for USCCA "Concealed Carry and Home Defense Fundamentals." This is an education course, not a training course, meaning you will be bombarded with information on a breadth of topics in order to gain perspective on really how little you may know about using firearms for defense, resulting in a directed program of further education and training. This course is for beginners who may not even own a firearm, persons seeking training on defending their home with a pistol or shotgun, as well as experienced shooters looking to apply for a CCW. USCCA has done a great job with this presentation to make it visually engaging rather than 'death by Powerpoint'; it should not bore you. While I hold significant credentials, you can trust that the content of this course is highly curated by experts at USCCA and not simply the concoction of a crazy mall ninja. This full day of learning would not sell in bumpkin country, where they just want to make expensive noise on the range, rather this course should appeal to Bay Area residents whom recognize the inherent risks of firearms ownership require the prudence of seeking education. This course involves dry handling of real firearms, use of force judgment training on a virtual simulator (tentative), and a quasi-live fire component of firing UTM/Simunition non-lethal training ammunition at targets.
