Description

This course is at least eight hours long and includes classroom and range time learning to shoot rifles. Students learn NRA’s rules for safe gun handling; rifle parts and operation; ammunition; shooting fundamentals; range rules; shooting from the bench rest, prone, sitting, standing, and kneeling positions; cleaning; and continued opportunities for skill development. Bring your lunch, and hearing and eye protection. The first part is in a very nice classroom setting in location TBD and the range location Deposit needs to be made within 7 days of registering.

Firearm Safety (Mandatory); Proper Handling of Rifles, Ammunition Knowledge, Rifle Selection, Shooting Fundamentals, Proper Maintenance, and Range Safety. Also, Students will complete a Nationally Standardized Live-Fire Training Qualification with a Certified Instructor.

The student needs to know and be able to demonstrate safe gun handling, weapon system familiarity, and foundational marksmanship skills. must complete an in Classroom Written Exam, and will receive a Course Completion Certificate after Passing the Live-Fire Range Session

Documentation Requirements

Students must bring a valid driver’s license or state issued ID to class with them for verification. 
·Students must arrive on time and be present for the entire duration of class

The instructor requires a copy of your Government Issued ID once you register.

Students are encouraged to bring their own gun, but a gun is not necessary and can be provided. Students are responsible for their 100 rounds of ammunition, range fees, & hearing and eye protection.Please wear long pants with pockets, closed toe shoes (no flip flops or sandals), and a crew neck (T-shirt) or button-up shirt (no low-cut neck lines
To ensure safety, there will be NO AMMUNITION in the classroom.
