About Michael R. Grimler, Firearm Instructor

I bring several years of experience with my formal training as a firearms instructor.

My firearm instructor experience started when I was approached by the range staff at the Orange County Sheriff's Department in Orange County, CA, shortly after I graduated from the sheriff's academy as a California POST-certified Level 1 reserve deputy for OCSD. After asking if I'd like to join their training cadre, of course, I said yes. They sent me to the FBI's Police Pistol and Shotgun Instructor course and soon after, assumed duties as an adjunct instructor. I was also sent to H&K's MP5 submachinegun operator and instructor courses since OCSD's SWAT team were using the MP5 at the time.

I was instrumental in instructing OCSD deputies during the department's transition from revolvers to semi-autos.

I also taught "Use of Deadly Force" and "Combat Handgun" classes to new recruits in the Basic Academy. And, provided incumbent deputies with training on the Remington 870 shotgun.

Cancellation Policy

Cancelation requests may be sent at any time via email to mrg@wyor.com

Reschedule Policy

If you are not able to attend a requested class date and time, you will be rolled over into the next scheduled class

Rescheduling requests must be sent via email to mrg@wyor.com as soon as possible

Refund Policy

Class fees are non-refundable, however, if you must cancel you may apply your fee to personal firearm instruction at the rate of $50/hour.

Personal instruction will take place on a day and time of mutual agreement.
