Description

Build a stronger foundation experienced shooters, mastering consistent pistol handling.

A More Personal Way to Build Pistol Skills

You know how to clear the weapon. You know how to shoot a stationary paper target on a controlled flat range. But in a real-world encounter, the targets move, outlets are flashing, and stress blinds your vision.

Ideal For

  • Advanced pistol operators: Push past your performance plateaus, stress-test your weapon manipulations, and refine your tactical efficiency

  • Shooters seeking a rigorous fundamentals diagnostic: Audit your current mechanics under strict time standards to isolate and eliminate micro-flaws

  • Marksmen working to improve consistency under stress: Shrink your split times, master recoil management, and deliver repeatable hits while moving or using cover.

Expectations and Outcomes

By the end of this course, Redshirt Freshmen will have mastered the 4 Universal Rules of firearms safdemonstrating flawless muzzle and finger discipline without supervision during dynamic drills. They will possess the operational confidence to independently clear, load, unload, perform high-speed reloads, and smoothly manage basic weapon malfunctions while moving on the range. Through personalized coaching, students will develop clean, repeatable mechanics for consistent accuracy, including proper grip stabilization, body stance structure, sight alignment, and trigger isolation. Furthermore, they will leave with an accountability-focused defensive mindset, fully prepared with a clear understanding of safe home storage, situational awareness, and the legal responsibilities of owning a defensive firearm

Requirements

Permitted Handguns: Only high-quality, modern, semi-automatic pistols or modern defensive revolvers from reliable manufacturers are permitted. No poorly maintained or unsafe firearms will be allowed on the line.

Magazines: A minimum of 3 operational magazines is required to keep the training pace moving efficiently.

Standard Course Load: 300 rounds of factory-manufactured, brass-cased ammunition is required per standard day of training.

Eye Protection:
Ballistic-rated, wrap-around shooting glasses or clear safety glasses are mandatory. High-impact prescription eyewear with side shields is acceptable.

Ear Protection:
Electronic hearing protection (earmuffs) is highly recommended so you can clearly hear instructor commands and safety briefings while on the firing line. Traditional foam earplugs or passive muffs are acceptable but less optimal.

Range Attire:

  • Shirts: High-necked t-shirts, crew necks, or collared polo shirts are required to prevent hot brass from slipping down your clothing. No tank tops or low-cut shirts.
  • Footwear: Sturdy, closed-toe shoes, boots, or athletic sneakers are mandatory. Sandals, flip-flops, or open-toe shoes are strictly prohibited.
  • Headwear: A baseball cap or brimmed hat is highly recommended to deflect flying brass away from your face.
