Description
NRA Basic Pistol Course.
This course is perfect for beginning shooters, and teaches all of the basics to safely operate a firearm. This course is also great for those wanting to learn the fundamentals before obtaining an LTC or prepare for "permitless carry." Course includes all class materials, but you must supply the following- pistol (any caliber), ammunition 100-200 rounds (if everything goes perfect you can complete the course in 40 rounds, but highly unlikely, and eye & ear protection. Any and all of these items can be supplied by the instructor if needed, but you must contact me to arrange this during registration. Range fee of approximately $15 must be paid to the range on day of class. Course will take place in the Ft. Worth area, more information will be provided after registration. Topics Covered
Gun safety rules, proper operation of both Revolers & semi-automatic pistols, ammunition knowledge and selection, pistol selection and storage, shooting fundamentals, pistol inspection and maintenance, marksmanship, and shooting range safety.
Expectations and Outcomes
By the end of this course you will gained the knowledge and confidence on safe operations with semi-automatic and revolver type pistols.
you will receive a NRA course completion certificate. which is also a pre-requisite to become an NRA Instructor.

Requirements
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!!!! ABSOLUTELY NO AMMO IN THE CLASSROOM!!!
PLEASE bring your own ammunition 100-200 rounds (if everything goes perfect you can complete the course in 40 rounds, but highly unlikely)
Please bring eyes & ears (Safety glasses and ear protection)
I will have eyes and ears for sale priced at
$1 for ears
$5 for eyes
If you have your own pistol, please feel free to bring it with you. (.22 or 9mm might be your best option, but just bring what you have)
I just ask that you have it unloaded and holstered or in a bag (not a walmart plastic bag), a sturdy strong built bookbag or gun bag of sorts.
Please make sure you pistol is unloaded (no mag and no bullet in chamber) prior to coming into class.
Please do not unholster your pistol until told to do so.
Your firearm will be cleared by 2 people, myself and someone else to ensure it is unloaded and safe.
I have a few pistols that can be rented. Please let me know if you require a rental.
