About Advanced Defense Solutions LLC

-Kevin Jeffries is currently employed by the Arizona Supreme Court in the Education Services Division as the Officer Safety Specialist. Prior to his employment at the Supreme Court, he was a unit supervisor with the Ohio Adult Parole Authority (APA) supervising the Mahoning County Probation Unit. While with the APA he was an Unarmed Self-Defense Instructor, Field Tactics Instructor and Chairman of the Akron Regional Training Advisory Council.

Kevin was instrumental in developing both the firearms and defensive tactics curriculum for Arizona’s Probation Officers.

Kevin has presented Officer Safety trainings for the American Probation and Parole Association (APPA) and is a guest columnist for APPA’s Perspectives Magazine. In 2011 Kevin was named the National Chairman for the APPA’s Health and Safety Committee. He also instructs on a national level as an adjunct faculty member for the Community Corrections Institute.

Kevin received his Bachelor of Science in Law Enforcement Administration from Youngstown State University and his Master’s Degree in Public Administration at Western International University

-Lance Nickell is a Lead Firearms Instructor for the Maricopa County Probation Department and is currently assigned to the departments Fugitive Apprehension Unit. In his 32 years as an Officer, he has had assignments in the Sex Offender Unit, Domestic Violence Unit, and as the Range Master.

He has presented nationally for both the American Probation and Parole Association and the National Law Enforcement & Corrections Technology. Lance has been a guest columnist for the American Probation and Parole Association and Policeone.com magazines.

As an avid shooter, Lance hoenix Policehas won numerous Gold, Silver, and Bronze in the Arizona Police Games and the Phoenix Police Combat Classic

Lance received his Bachelor of Science in Public Safety Administration from Grand Canyon University

Waiver

Participation in firearms training and shooting activities involves inherent risks, including the risk of serious injury, property damage, or death.

By registering for an Advanced Defense Solutions LLC course, students acknowledge that they are voluntarily participating in activities involving firearms and agree to assume all associated risks.

Students are required to follow all instructor directions, range commands, facility rules, and safety procedures at all times. Any unsafe act, impairment, disruptive conduct, or failure to follow instructions may result in immediate removal from the course without refund.

Students are responsible for ensuring they are legally eligible to possess and use firearms under applicable federal, state, and local laws.

Students will be required to sign a complete liability waiver, assumption of risk agreement, and photo/video release prior to participating in any training activities.
