About FULL CIRCLE TACTICAL
Joshua Barbosa served over two decades between the Brazilian Army and State Police.
As a Police Officer, he was a Special Response Unit operator (B.O.P.E.) and conducted scores of law enforcement operations and personal protection missions. A forever student, he trained with the best instructors in Brazil and the U.S. and continues attending at least five courses per year between his seminars.
Joshua's highly specialized law enforcement training and serving in a violent region in Brazil gave him a force-on-force baseline based on actual occurrences and observations of high-profile cases. This Hands-on experience led to his position as a globally recommended Reality-based Tactical Firearms Instructor.
Besides his law enforcement experience, Joshua is a lifetime Martial-Arts Practitioner/Researcher; he started his martial journey at 12. Under the tutelage of Shotokan and Kodokan Judo Grand Master Otavio Oshiro in Brazil, he achieved a Master Teacher Rank Godan (5th Degree Black Belt)
In 1993, With his Master's blessing, he created a Reality-Based Combat system called Sakusen Combatives; this system includes all aspects of Armed and Unarmed combat validated and tested in force-on-force scenarios based on previous actual incidents.
Moving to the U.S. in the 90s, he opened the first training academy in the Boston area. His teaching methodologies are based on science and framework such as; OODA Loop Combat Applications (O.L.C.A.) and Advance Tactical Analysis (A.T.A.), in which he holds instructor ranks.
Joshua Barbosa is the Founder/Chief Instructor at Full Circle Tactical; he teaches classes in the U.S. and abroad.
