Complete 4-DAY Basic PPOTH & PPOTH INSTRUCTOR
30 hours of training over two weekends

This is the premier NRA Instructor rating!
This will also enable you to teach the NRA Defensive Pistol Course!

This is over TWO SEPERATE WEEKENDS.

• Days 1 & 2 - Basic PPOTH on Sat & Sun, May 3rd & 4th, 2025.
• Days 3 & 4 - PPOTH INSTRUCTOR course on the next weekend Sat & Sun, May 10th & 11th, 2025.

1. You MUST be a current NRA Pistol Instructor & current NRA PPPITH Instructor PRIOR to the start of this course.
2. Must have completed BIT within two years. BIT is not included in this course.
3. Instructor Candidates must complete the Advanced Level II of the Basic PPOTH Course on Day 2. Must complete both courses.

• Days 1 & 2
• Time: Level I is 9 hours on Day 1. Level II is 5 hours on Day 2.
• Total 14 hours.

1. NRA Guide to the Basics of Personal Protection Outside The Home handbook.
2. NRA Gun Safety Rules card.
3. Pocket Pistol Comparison Chart.
4. Marksmanship Qualification Program booklet.
5. Appropriate (level one/level two) class completion certificates(s).

• Days 3 & 4
• Time: 16 total hours.
• Approximately 8 hours each day.

1. NRA PPOTH Teaching Guide in a 3-ring binder.
2. NRA PPOTH Instructor Candidate Pack.
3. Instructor PowerPoint & Teaching Guide.
4. Level TWO Course Completion Certificate.
5. Upon successful completion of BOTH courses, Instructor Candidates will receive an endorsement as a Certified NRA PPOTH Instructor (NRA Fee), if appropriate.
