Cancellation Policy
PART AAll classes are forecasted, which means the schedule for training is forward looking. However, though forward looking, life circumstances cannot be predicted; which depending upon the nature of the circumstance(s), cancellation may be warranted. It is herein understood that cancellation of classes as a whole is determined by the instructor for the benefit of all involved, which may include but are not limited to the following:
- The unavailability of the Instructor/RSO.
- The unavailability of the training grounds.
- The absence of student materials, or training aids.
- The minimum student registrations having not been achieved.
Any of the above circumstances will trigger a credit to a future class date or class offering.
PART B1. Student registration for firearms education and training is considered a very serious endeavor; so much so, that expenses are fronted on behalf of the prospective student when they register for a class. In point of fact, the student's seat and materials are paid for in advance in anticipation of the student's arrival, and for the ease of administrative in-processing. However, the instructor may cancel a class for reasons that may prohibit the effectiveness or educational or training value of said class if in the instructor's view it is prudent to do so, which should ultimately inure to the benefit of the student primarily, and all others in general. Such instances may be, but are not limited to: the actual or threat of natural castastrophe's (i.e., flooded roadways/breaks/closures, power outages, earthquakes, mudslides, toxic fumes, forest fires, viral epidemics/pandemics, lightening strikes, etc.), severe weather warnings, hazardous road conditions, severe storms, torrential rains, lightening/stikes, floods, snow, ice, sleet; the destruction or impairment of the training or range facility or access ways, and the like.
2. Additionally, while classes may be cancelled, not all may be cancelled for the same reasons. If a scheduled class requires live training or shooting on the range; it may be cancelled having been overcome by events such as: hazardous or severe weather conditions, which being: snow, sleet, hail, torrential rains, flooded out training areas, and the like would make it impractical to conduct outdoors. Decisions such as these are in the best interests of the prospective student as well as others that may take part in the instructional presentation or participation. Furthermore, in like situations such as are mentioned herein of this paragraph, the registration fee will be credited toward an upcoming or future scheduled class date or class offering, as we cannot be responsible for Acts of God or other natural occurences. Concomitently, responsible decision-making greatly contributes to a safer training environment for all concerned.
3. Conversely, a scheduled class that does not have a live range component or live shooting requirement may not be cancelled provided the classroom environment is suitable for education, and/or simulation training, and may continue because there would be no live range or live shooting requirement to be fulfilled.
PART C1. Firearms training classes are filled on a Space A (Space Available) basis. These spaces are limited due to size of venue, or range conditions, and/or availability of appropriate personnel to safely conduct training. Once a class is full, no additional student will be accepted. If a student fails to cancel prior to the class date or fails to show up on the date of the scheduled class, they may have prevented someone else from filling that vacancy, or availed space. Please be sure to read the course description(s) carefully and completely, and adequately prepare for your training. Furthermore, that necessary equipment is available (on-hand) to attend the training BEFORE attending the course. If uncertain about any of the above, do not hesitate to contact the instructor.
2. As a continuum, students are required to cancel at the least 48 hours in advance of their scheduled class date in order to be rescheduled for a future course, or class date. We understand that serious life events can arise such as: illness, family emergencies and/or other significant circumstances which may preclude a student's attendance for training. Should this occur, simply notify us before the scheduled class date in accordance with the above, and the registration fee will be credited to an upcoming or scheduled event of choice. In a like manner, without prior notification and/or less than 48 hours before the class date, no rescheduling opportunity will be available. Therefore, it is very important the student communicate with the instructor regarding all forseeable instances.
