Description

This is the next level for learning how to defend yourself or others with a firearm, beyond basic safety and marksmanship training on the range. You will understand how your body reacts to immediate stress and how you can handle your gun for defensive accuracy in that situation. Instruction and live fire drills include drawing from your holster, movement, and emergency reloads. Magazines: at least 3 double-stack or 5 single-stack IMPORTANT Ark Game & Fish Commission rules: no loaded guns on the range property except when on the firing line and instructed to load for live fire. Arrive with magazines loaded, but no ammunition or magazines in any guns. No concealed carry (even with Ark CHCL or ECHCL) at the range.

Topics Covered

Defensive Shooting Fundamentals will guide you through the steps you'll need to take to go from just sending rounds downrange to actually training in specific, tested methods of armed self-defense. From stance to grip to physical shooting technique, Defensive Shooting Fundamentals Level 1 will help you hone the edge on your inner warrior expert. You'll get your body working with your gun instead of against it, you'll learn which intuitive skills work best with what your body will naturally do while under stress in a combat situation, and you'll learn to apply this information simply and effectively - regardless of your skill level.
