Dan Farmer is a service connected disabled veteran of the United States Marine Corps and is currently retired from the corporate sector where he specialized in executive level Marketing and Sales for a variety of industries to include: pharmaceutical, specialty chemicals and third party administration (TPA) of large group self-funded health plans. Dan has over 20 years of firearms experience with pistol, rifle, shotgun, carbine, muzzleloader rifles and ammunition reloading.

Dan uses his experience and training to help individuals understand what it takes to become a safe and efficient marksman. He believes students learn best following a philosophy of “hear-see-do.” This building block approach to training allows students to hear what they are going to do, see what they are going to do, then do what was explained and demonstrated. While skill development (the “how’s”) is only one of the overall goals of firearms training, an individual who understands how to self-diagnose marksmanship and tactical errors (the “why’s”) is someone who has begun the journey towards developing a true understanding of all fundamentals. Understanding (the “why’s”) allows shooters to self-correct mistakes leading to a rapid improvement of their knowledge, skills, and abilities. Dan’s goal is to provide a SAFE, comfortable, and challenging training environment that allows his students the opportunity to develop their skills while developing an understanding of what it takes to become a successful and responsible firearms marksman.

 RFH Tactical Firearm & Mobility Instructor - Specializing in advanced training for Tier 1 Military Special Operations   Units and high level US Government Agencies
 NRA Certified Basic Pistol Instructor (satisfies requirement for Virginia CCW permit)
