About ETS Training Systems
Brad Kelley is the founder of ETS Training Systems, based in Granbury, Texas. ETS stands for Execute the Standard, and the training is built around that idea: safe, confident, competent gun handling, taught from the fundamentals up, with a clear standard for what competent looks like before you leave the range.
Brad's road to firearms training started when he realized that one day he would have a family to protect, and that good intentions alone wouldn't make him capable of it. He dedicated himself to learning gun safety, proficiency, and preparedness, and along the way he ran into the same wall most students hit: quality training costs real money. That experience still shapes how he teaches. He became a firearms instructor in 2019, earning certifications as an NRA Pistol Instructor and a Texas DPS-licensed instructor for License to Carry, First Responder LTC, and Tactical Medical Provider courses. He has since trained hundreds of students.
He also holds himself to the same standard he asks of his students. Instructors never get to stop being students, which is why Brad continues to seek out training from industry-leading professionals like John Lovell and Paul Perkerson of Warrior Poet Society.
The other half of ETS is physical capability. Brad has spent more than 15 years in the fitness industry and owns Lift the Bar Fitness in Granbury, a health club/gym with more than 900 members. The belief driving both sides of the brand is the same: protecting the people you love takes skill with the tools you carry and a body that can do the job when it matters.
Brad also founded American Defense Coalition, a pro-2A nonprofit that runs on a pay what you can model, so cost never keeps a law-abiding American from critical training in firearms, first aid, and preparedness.
