Fred Schnitzspahn is a retired U.S. Army Colonel with extensive tactical and strategic experience in his 27 years of military service.  He is also retired from Ohio State Government service.  Fred holds expert ratings in pistol and rifle from the Army and was awarded the highest shooting medal from the German Army while on duty there.  He has a Concealed Handgun License, has completed Advanced handgun training Levels I, II, & III at the Tactical Defense Institute (TDI), Tactical Rifle, Defensive Pistol, Active Shooter, and Extreme Close Quarters Combat at a Central Ohio Firearms Training Academy, Fred is an NRA Chief Range Safety Officer and is also an Ohio Peace Officers Training Commission (OPOTC) approved Firearms Safety Officer.  As a National Rifle Association Instructor and Training Counselor he teaches and certifies NRA Trainers in: Pistol, Advanced Pistol, Personal Protection in the Home and Personal Protection Outside the Home, Rifle, and Home Firearm Safety. The Ohio Crime Prevention Association has awarded him a Certification in Crime Prevention.  Fred is a member of The National Rifle Association, The Ohio Concealed Carry Associatioin and The Buckeye Firearms Association.  He holds degrees in Education and Business Management from The Ohio State University and Franklin University respectively.
