Description

This course is for youth (10-16 years of age) and will focus on firearms safety, what to do if you encounter a firearm, and live-fire range exercises.

Our Firearm Safety and Marksmanship Camp exposes participants to the fundamentals of firearm safety and shooting a handgun.

It is appropriate for youth shooters age 10-16.

A few things the class includes:

- Basic Handgun Safety and Safe firearm handling
- Fundamentals of pistol marksmanship
- Discussion of various shooting activities
- Safe steps when encountering a firearm
- LIVE FIRE range exercises

For this community camp, the fee includes:

*1 target, 50 rounds of .22LR, .22LR firearm rental, eye/ear rental
  FREE Firearm Lock

Available for additional purchase if you'd like:

* Eye/Ear purchase ($2.25 eye/ $.65 and up ear)
* Additional ammunition may be purchased at discounted price

* ADULTS may bring own handgun/ammunition (firearm and ammunition will be inspected     prior to approval for use)
* ALL RANGE RULES APPLY
* All students MUST sign-in (Youth signed in and accompanied by guardian)
* Adults MUST have photo identification

- Student requirements: A good attitude, an adult guardian present, and the desire to learn about firearms safety and fundamentals.

Certificates will be awarded at class completion.

Safety  equipment is required (eye and ear protection) and will be available at the range.

** Q: Are minors allowed to take this class? 

ShootingClasses.com policy will only allow a student under the age of 18 to be registered for a firearms training class with the consent of both the instructor and the parent or legal guardian.

We do allow appropriately mature minors to attend firearms training classes provided the parent or guardian is present to observe the range portion of the class.  Please contact us to confirm each class's individual youth policy.  Once you have the instructor’s approval you will need to register the student using your information (date of birth) and comment that the registration is for the minor, otherwise the registration will be rejected. *Be sure to use the student's name for the registration so it will print on the class certificate.
