Description
This one-day class will concentrate on using low profile impact weapons for personal defense. Roughly half the class will consist of self-defense using canes and walking sticks. The other half of the class will focus on using shorter impact weapons like pocket sticks, kubatons, and flashlights.
The class will cover legal issues, carry and deployment, drawing techniques, striking, blocking, responses to common street attacks, and dealing with multiple attackers. The instructor will also teach lower force level control and pain compliance holds with the pocket sticks/flashlights.
The class will be physical but not punishing. The instructor will attempt to scale the class to folks of all physical abilities.
