Description
The HQL training is a 4-hour course mandated by Maryland law for individuals wishing to purchase, rent, or receive a regulated firearm. The course aims to provide foundational knowledge and skills necessary for safe firearm ownership and handling.
This course serves as a prerequisite for Maryland Wear and Carry
Topics Covered
The Firearms Safety Training Course is required to be taught by a Qualified Handgun Instructor and must include at least 4 hours of instruction covering the following essential curricula:

Expectations and Outcomes
Training certificate of completion and Handgun Qualification License that is good for ten (10) years from the date of issuance from Maryland State Police.
