Description
This 16-hours beginners Maryland Wear and Carry Permit (WCP) training course is a state-mandated program designed to ensure that applicants possess the legal knowledge and practical proficiency required to carry a firearm safely.

Expectations and Outcomes
All students must complete a live-fire proficiency test and score at least 70%.
Standard Qualification: A minimum of 25 rounds fired from distances up to 15 yards
Successful completion of this course, students would also be able to apply for their Maryland HQL

Prerequisite: Maryland HQL is strongly recommended, but not required.
Required Student Equipment (If Owned)
Students should bring the following items if they already own them:
- Personal firearm
- Three magazines or speedloaders
- Baseball cap
- Eye and ear protection
- 150 rounds of ammunition
