Description
Prerequisite: NRA FIRST Steps Pistol, NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting, MD HQL or equivalent is strongly recommended, but not required.
Multi-State Permit Training
This 16-hour course plus range training covers firearm safety, responsible concealed carry, self-defense considerations, and permit information for Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, Florida, Arizona, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. Students receive hands-on instruction and live-fire training, with qualification and documentation provided where applicable. Permit eligibility and application requirements vary by state; course completion does not guarantee a permit.
Tuition: $375 per student. DC CPL training may be added for $75.

- Handgun operation, ammunition, and maintenance
- Fundamentals of marksmanship and safe gun handling
- Concealed-carry methods and everyday responsibilities
- Situational awareness, conflict avoidance, and de-escalation
- Defensive firearm use and use-of-force considerations
- Firearm and carry laws for MD, VA, WV, FL, AZ, NJ, and PA
- State permit eligibility, applications, and travel considerations
- Live-fire practice and applicable qualifications
DC CPL add-on: DC firearm and self-defense law, DC carry restrictions, and the required range qualification and documentation.
