Description
Alright, so you're thinking about carrying a firearm every day? Awesome! But just having a gun isn't enough, right? You gotta know how to carry it safely, comfortably, and effectively. That's where our "EDC Essentials" course comes in!
Here's the lowdown:
This isn't your grandpa's shooting class. We're diving deep into the world of Every Day Carry (EDC). We're talking about all the different ways you can carry:
OWB (Outside Waistband): Classic, but are you doing it right?
IWB (Inside Waistband): Super popular, but what about comfort?
On-body: The most common way to carry a firearm.
Off-body: Got a purse, fanny pack, or shoulder bag? We'll show you how to carry responsibly (and legally!).
We'll break down all sorts of holsters – the good, the bad, and the ugly – so you can find the perfect fit for you and your firearm.
But it's not just about how you carry, it's about how you use it in a real-world situation.
We'll run through drills specifically designed to help you:
Draw quickly and efficiently.
Get your gun into action, even with a cover garment (like a jacket or shirt) in the way.
And we won't stop at just the gun!
We'll also explore your options for carrying:
Spare magazines: Because you never know.
Flashlight: Identifying threats is crucial.
Blade: A good knife is an essential tool.
Trauma kit: Hope you never need it, but better to be prepared.
The Details:
Time: About 3 hours.
Ammo: Roughly 120 rounds.
Why take this course?
Because carrying a firearm is a serious responsibility. This course will give you the knowledge and skills you need to carry confidently and safely, making you more prepared for whatever life throws your way. Let's get you dialed in!
Expectations and Outcomes
Students will leave with a better sense of what form or method of conceal carry is best for them given their situation and how to deploy their firearm and/or other EDC tools should the need arise. All students will be shown how to practice these new skills.
Types
Basic, Concealed Carry Training
Documentation Requirements
State photo I.D. will be required in all classes.
The instructor requires a copy of your Government Issued ID once you register.
Requirements
This course is designed for "conceal carry" and while many people carry a .22 or .380 for personal carry we are asking all students bring a 9mm handgun. It must be in good working condition.**
My top priority in instruction is not only having a successful training session with students but that it be done in as safe as a manner as possible. This is why, until further notice, we will ban from our courses all SIG P320's.
- Good working condition 9mm or higher semi-auto (No SIG P320's) holding 8 rounds or more
- At least 3 magazines in good operationg condition
- Ability to hold or carry 1 spare magazine
- 120 rounds of quality range ammo
- Pen and paper for notes (not required)
