Description
The 4-hour “Gunfighter Medical” course combines combative handgun skills with lifesaving trauma care under stress.
It is designed for responsibly armed citizens, concealed carriers, and range personnel who already possess safe firearms handling fundamentals.
You are welcome to bring your own IFAK for evaluation.

Expectations and Outcomes
By the end of the class, students will be able to:
1. Apply a tourniquet within 30 seconds correctly.
2. Pack and dress a simulated wound effectively.
3. Safely perform firearm manipulations while injured or under stress.
4. Transition from gunfight to medical response confidently and safely.
5. Perform basic casualty movement and communicate effectively with teammates or 911.
6. Safely engage a lethal threat and transition to medical response
7. Perform immediate lifesaving trauma care using MARCH priorities
8. Integrate firearm handling, movement, and casualty care in short, realistic scenarios

Documentation Requirements
Please bring an unexpired Ohio Driver License and/or valid Ohio CHL/CCW Permit.
Requirements
PLEASE NOTE: A holster that allows one-handed reholstering is critical for this training (i.e., no collapsible holsters). While there are no prerequisites for this course, it does require a heightened level of safety and awareness when handling the pistols during the course. Please consider this before registering.
You are welcome to bring your own IFAK for evaluation.
MATERIALS NEEDED:
- Modern defensive pistol, semi-automatic, or revolver
- At least three (3) magazines
- Speed loader
- Mag pouch
- Sturdy gun belt - Please understand this is NOT a Sunday-go-to-meeting belt. This is a rugged belt designed to support the weight of a firearm, a holster, and other carry accessories
- Strong side holster (IWB, OWB, or Appendix) - no shoulder, cross draw, Serpa, or middle-of-back styles. Please note that holsters are NOT to be collapsible (i.e., Uncle Mike's style cloth holsters), and students must be able to holster their firearm using their dominant hand only
- Ammo: 150 rounds minimum
- ELECTRONIC hearing protection - Students must be able to clearly hear and understand instructors/instructions during this training
- Eye protection
- Appropriate range clothing - No low-cut shirts or open-toed shoes, etc.
- IFAK with 2 tourniquets, hemostatic gauze, pressure dressing, 2 chest seals, NPA, gloves, emergency blanket
- Blue gun or intert trainer for medical drills
- Marker
- Brimmed hat or ball cap
- Note taking materials
- Hydration, if desired
- A willingness to be an attentive, safe, and diligent learner with a positive and receptive attitude!! 😊
