Topics Covered

In this first module of the USCCA’s Handgun and Self-Defense Fundamentals series, students are introduced to the basics of handgun safety, including determining their “why,” the Four Universal Firearm Safety rules, and the seven basic fundamentals for safe and accurate shooting.

Students will also learn pistol manipulations such as racking the slide, safely clearing (unloading) a semi-automatic pistol, and loading and unloading a magazine.

The culmination of this training will be when we revisit these basics and put them into practice both with dry-practice and live-fire shooting on the Shooting Range.
