The NRA’s Refuse To Be A Victim® program is a nationally recognized personal safety seminar designed to help men and women take control of their own safety. While not a firearms or self-defense course, this empowering class focuses on awareness, prevention, and practical strategies for avoiding dangerous situations before they happen.
This special 3-hour mini-seminar, presented by NRA Certified RTBAV Instructor Candy Petticord, is a condensed version of the full 5-hour program. You’ll discover common habits that criminals look for, learn how to strengthen your personal safety plan, and leave with easy, affordable steps you can take immediately to protect yourself and your loved ones.
Whether you’re at home, at work, traveling, or out shopping, this seminar will give you the confidence and knowledge to truly Refuse To Be A Victim®!!

Psychology of Criminal Predators – Understanding how criminals think and choose their victims.
Mental Preparedness – Developing awareness and confident decision-making under pressure.

Expectations and Outcomes
What to Expect:
Students will participate in an engaging, discussion-based seminar that encourages questions, self-reflection, and practical application. Each student who successfully completes this course will receive a Certificate of Completion from the NRA’s Refuse To Be A Victim® program and Northpointe Training, LLC.
