Description
This nationally recognized HSI/Red Cross CPR/AED & First Aid Certification course provides students with the critical knowledge and hands-on skills to confidently respond to cardiac, breathing, and first aid emergencies. Whether at home, at work, or in public, being trained in CPR and basic life support can mean the difference between life and death.
Participants will learn how to perform adult, child, and infant CPR; use an AED (Automated External Defibrillator); and provide immediate care for bleeding, burns, fractures, choking, and other common injuries and medical conditions until professional help arrives. This course meets OSHA and workplace training requirements.
Upon successful completion, students will receive a 2-year certification in CPR/AED and First Aid through the Red Cross and HSI.Topics Covered

- Adult, Child & Infant CPR
- AED operation and safety
- Choking response techniques
- First aid for bleeding, burns, fractures, and allergic reactions
- Recognizing medical emergencies (stroke, diabetic issues, etc.)
- Scene safety and emergency action steps

Documentation Requirements
A current Driver License, CCW/CHL, or State ID.
Requirements
Course Requirements:
- Minimum Age: 14 years old (or as specified by certifying organization)
- Physical Ability: Must be able to perform chest compressions on a manikin and demonstrate basic first aid skills
- Participation: Full attendance and active participation in all hands-on activities
- Assessment: Successful completion of a written and/or skills-based assessment (if required for certification)
- Attire: Comfortable clothing suitable for physical activity (e.g., kneeling, bending)
- Materials: All training materials and certification fees are included with course registration
