Description

This class is intended for shooters who want to learn and practice the skills to utilize their NVGs in a live fire training event.



Students will come away from this class with a better understanding of their NVGs, and a higher level of confidence in their ability to effective operate and wield.



It is encouraged to run this class with the gear you would normally have in home defense or self defense situation. LE are encouraged to run this class in your duty gear.





PREREQUISITES:



Students should know and be able to perform all aspects of safe firearm handing. Students should be familiar with the basics of shooting (grip, stance, breath control, trigger control, follow through, etc.) This is NOT a beginner class. You must have experience working to and from a holster.

Range orientation



Sight Acquisition



Shot Follow Up



Loading/Unloading



Malfunctions



Shooting Positions



Mechanical Offset



Close Range Engagements



Multiple Threats



Turning & Shooting



Shooting on the Move





Class Requirements:



-Quality functional semi-automatic pistol and rifle/carbine.

-Helmet mounted night vision.



-5 magazines minimum (please arrive with magazines loaded)



-Minimum of 500 rounds of quality ammunition for both rifle and pistol.



-Belt mounted kydex holster AIWB, IWB, OWB —PLEASE NO flimsy nylon or cloth holsters. NO BLACKHAWK SERPA holsters. We recommend holsters from Dark Star Gear, Raven Concealment, Blackpoint Tactical, Black Center Tactical, C&G Holsters & G-Code.



-Magazine or loading device pouches / magazine carrier, etc.



-Ammunition dump pouch (optional)



-Sturdy belt at least 1.5” wide



-Footwear suitable for rapid movement and turning with good ankle support.



-Clothing suitable for training in any weather – long pants – long sleeve shirt, hoodie or jacket for cold weather.



-Wraparound eyewear, polycarbonate lenses or non-shattering prescription glasses



-Earmuffs and earplugs



-Notebook and pen for note taking



-Humble willing to learn attitude
