Description
This is a six (6) hour AR-15 rifle/carbine fundamentals and operational skill enhancement course, which will include the history and nomenclature of the AR-15 rifle along with a progression of shooting techniques and drills designed to build shooting proficiency. Those new to the AR-15 rifle are welcome and highly encouraged to attend, along with those more experienced shooters who seek to improve upon their existing knowledge and skills. Attendees do not need to have prior experience in shooting a handgun or AR-15 rifle to attend this course.
Topics Covered
AR-15 firearm safety and safe handling; Fundamentals of AR-15 marksmanship; Discussion of "Zero" sight verification; Accessorizing and maintaining an AR-15; Efficient operation of an AR-15; How to improve skills and precision with an AR-15; The AR-15 and home defense considerations.
Expectations and Outcomes
This course is designed to teach how to handle an AR-15 safely and properly, whether for recreation, hunting, sports, or personal defense. Questions and active discussion are welcome and encouraged.

Documentation Requirements
Attendees must provide a valid U.S. government issued identification for visual inspection at the time of class (verification only - no copies will be taken). Acceptable forms of identification include: U.S. Passport/Passport ID Card; U.S. Drivers License; Concealed Carry/License to Carry card issued by a U.S. state; LEO Credentials or LEOSA card (Law Enforcement); Active/Retired Military ID card. Please contact the instructor with any questions.
The instructor requires a copy of your Government Issued ID once you register.
Requirements
A tactical sling is required for this course. Similar to a holster (with differences), a sling provides an additional level of safety and also enhances shooting capabilities of the AR-15 platform. Slings can be loaned at no additional cost (advise instructor prior to class start date).
