Description

This is a one-day women’s only self-defense course that addresses the individual and specific needs of women. Mindset, Situational Awareness and Combatives are woven together to help you become a better protector of yourself and your family. Learn how to detect and avoid a potential attack by understanding how criminals think and act. Learn to stop an attack and cause enough injury to your attacker so you can get away. This course is not about fighting. It’s about defending, countering and getting away safely. Whether shopping in your home town or traveling abroad, this course will provide you with the fundamental skills needed to Detect, Deter and Defend yourself and others from threats.

First we educate, then we train. We start very slow so those with no previous training can learn the basics. Students will progress from avoidance, striking pads and basic ground defense. Then we do some scenario training that will prepare you for the real-world. This allows you to understand your real abilities under stress to survive a life threatening attack by using your own body as a weapon.

Government issued ID (Driver's license)

The instructor requires a copy of your Government Issued ID once you register.

Requirements

Protective mouth piece (available for purchase the day of training) and workout clothes such as T-shirt, shorts, yoga pants, sweatpants, note taking materials, water and snacks. Hand wraps are recommended but not required. We train on a large matted area so no street shoes are allowed. Wrestling shoes and martial art shoes specifically designed for mats that have never been worn off the mat are allowed. We will take a short break for lunch.
