Description

This is a class for ladies who have already taken our Basic Handgun class. This continues the progression from basic safety and understanding of handguns, to the fundamentals of shooting.

This is a precurser for the Intro To Holster class.

Ladies will work from the table, starting at 3 yards and progressing out beyond 10 yards.

Range time will cover stance, grip, sights, trigger control, reloads, malfunctions, target trasitions, and more.

Expectations and Outcomes

Student will be able to demonstrate safe gun handling, engage targets out to at least 10 yards, perform reloads, and address malfunctions.

Requirements

Student must have attended a Basic Handgun class, prefferably from The Women's Armory. If student attended another course, please let the instructor know and an evaluation can be made.

If you have one, please bring a firearm and 50 rounds of ammo. If you do not have a firearm, or need assistance with getting ammo, please let us know. Below is some information you will need prior to your arrival.

 

  1. The location address is 291 Oakway Estates, Eastanollee, GA  This is a private, members only outdoor range.  We will start our class in the clubhouse, located just inside the gate.
  2. GMSA is a COLD Range, meaning all firearms should be unloaded when arriving at the range, and shall not be loaded until you are on the firing line and directed to do so. Your firearm should be in a box, case, or range bag when you arrive.
  3. You will need to wear a billed hat and close-toed shoes. Also, do not wear a low-cut shirt.
  4. Hearing and eye protection are required. If you have them, please bring them. If you do not, some can be provided for your use.
  5. Please bring something for lunch as there is nothing nearby and you will not have time to leave and get something.  The clubhouse does have a refrigerator, stove, and microwave that you are free to use.  Water will be provided. Any other beverages you will need to bring with you. There are restrooms and a vending machine at the range.
