The Mingle: Openness to Experience = The personality trait that best reflects the lay concept of open-mindedness is called “openness to experience,” or simply “openness.” Open people tend to be intellectually curious, creative and imaginative. Being open-minded is generally considered a positive quality. It is a necessary ability in order to think critically and rationally. If you are not open to other ideas and perspectives, it is difficult to see all of the factors that contribute to problems or come up with effective solutions. The Mingle dedicates every event to all the ladies that come with an openness to experience.
We hope this 2 day VIP event will be a HIGHLIGHT of our guest's year! "The Mingle" is an INVITE ONLY weekend for women in the firearms industry. This Saturday and Sunday event has sponsors, guest speakers, door prizes, and guest instructors. You will attend both days, train in all three of our 3 hour blocks (live fire and presentations), lunch, snacks and water will be provided, and of course MINGLING!!! We will be lending a hand in helping women in the firearms industry gain knowledge and meet MORE ladies in the biz. What a fantastic opportunity to be able to "pick the brains" of the ones that paved the path before us and meet ladies who offer NEW ideas. The relationships we build here can strengthen our business and help reach personal goals, PLUS the knowledge bombs received can be passed onto others.
With the help of sponsors, The Complete Combatant will offer a place for women to meet "like minded" ladies. Instructors can continue their education and build relationships to support business, networking to expand contacts and to explore our own personal growth in business, tactics, self-defense, marksmanship, professions & MORE! These special ladies are all patriots that will influence, support, and fight for self defense rights! Oh, and please jump onto the The Mingle's MEDIA COVERAGE over the last few years. AWESOME STUFF!
WHO IS INVITED? We will be inviting ladies (local or otherwise) that work in the firearms industry, "industry" biz owners (managers and team members), club presidents and board members, professional shooters, self defense, tactical and competition shooting instructors, Image Based Decisional Drills certified Instructor that have a more "advanced" shooting history, and in the proficient biz professionals that are 2nd Amendment political supporters. If you do not fall into these categories but you are a professional "in the biz" and feel like you would be a good fit for The Mingle, then please fill out the INVITE ME section below and lets discuss.
Skill Level:
- The Mingle will require you to have safe gun handling skills
- You need to be able to follow directions from our coaches
- You need to have experience working from a holster?
- We run a "hot" range and follow guidelines based from Jeff Cooper's 4 rules of gun safety aka lifestyle rules

Sarah is the Founder and Executive Director of Hold My Guns®, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that partners with FFLs to provide voluntary firearms storage during times of crisis or personal need (such as during deployment). Albrecht is a QPR Suicide Prevention Gatekeeper Instructor and a Range Safety Officer for the Southern Chester County Youth Shooting League where she has volunteered since 2013.
The Mingle's 2024 curriculum covers suicide awareness content, including current statistics pertaining to suicide, as well as risk factors and protective factors. Students will learn to recognize warning signs of a suicide crisis, ask questions to help respectfully engage with a person who may be suicidal, learn active listening and persuasion skills, and learn how to refer individuals in crisis to appropriate resources.
All attendees will receive a QPR Gatekeeper Certificate from the QPR Institute, which counts for two continuing education hours. The certificate is valid for 2 years. This course is highly recommended to enhance the curriculum vitae of firearms professionals such as Instructors and Range Safety Officers.

Requirements
- LOCAL GUESTS, YOU WILL NEED TO BRING A CHAIR. IF YOU HAVE ROOM FOR ADDITIONAL CHAIRS THEN PLEASE BRING THEM FOR OUR OUT OF TOWN GUESTS.
- NON-LOCAL GUESTS, if you are flying in then please let me know and we will have a chair available for you!
- You will want to take notes during the classroom presentation. Be prepared.
- 250 rounds of ammo. NOTE: I always bring an extra 50 rounds when I attend a class
- We will provide lunch BOTH DAYS, SNACKS and BOTTLED WATER ON THE RANGE. Please bring your own lunch/beverages if you have any dietary restrictions.
- Pistol w/holster that will not collapse when drawn (strong side, inside, outside waistband or appendix is fine)
- Both IRON sights and RED DOT sights are welcome
- Holsters that collapse (leather, soft, etc.) when drawn will NOT be allowed on our range. NO SERPA HOLSTERS will be allowed on our range. Please make note that if you show up with any of the above, we will ask you to CHANGE so you can comply with our range rules. If you do not have a back up gun then you can CHANGE to a HK VP9 and use a strong side Kydex holster that we will provide free of charge. Ammo not included
- NO SERPA HOLSTERS or collapsible LEATHER holsters. THIS IS WHY!
- Concealment garment is encouraged but not required.
- At least two spare magazines (the more the merrier)
- Don't forget your LockedIn Grip Liquid Shooting Sports Chalk.
- Magazine pouch/carrier
- A sturdy belt for the holster and magazine pouches (try your gear on prior to class)
- Eye & ear protection (foam inserts or muffs – electronic HIGHLY muffs recommended)
- "Back up” gun if you got it. If not, we will have a HK VP9 waiting for you to use
- Proper OUTDOOR weather attire
- A LARGE plastic bag to use as a barrier between your range gear and the ground (this is a life savor if the ground is wet). Consider bringing 2 bags so one can cover up your gear if raining
- Hat with bill.... this is WHY!
- Sunblock and bug spray (as needed)?
