Expectations and Outcomes

By the end of this course the student will be able to:

  • know and understand firearm and range safety.
  • Identify the different types of pistols and their functions
  • Identify the various types of ammunition
  • Know how to properly and safely store both pistols and ammunition.
  • Safely load and unload a pistol.
  • Properly clean and maintain a pistol. 
  • Demonstrate proper shooting fundamentals (grip, sighting, Trigger press)

Documentation Requirements

Please provide the instructor with the caliber of pistol you will be bringing to the class. 

The instructor requires a copy of your driver's license once you register.

Requirements

Items required for training:

  • Properly maintained pistol (ref. below)
  • Magazines (minimum of 2)
  • Proper factory ammunition for your caliber pistol.
  • Ear and Eye protection (over the ear protection is recommended)
  • Holster and belt (IWB or OWB)
  • 50 rounds of factory ammunition.
  • Snack and WATER.
  • Weather appropriate clothing.
