Description

This five-hour outdoor pistol training class is for shooters with some experirence who want to hone and develop their skills. Working from 5 to 15 yards, you'll run proven drills focused on developing confidence and competence in operating your pistol. All classes are held at LCPCPC, 1855 Russell Rd., Lebanon, PA.

Topics Covered

  • Technique and training in gun handling, e.g., emergency and speed reloads, clearing malfunctions, safe and efficient draw stroke for a consistent index.
  • Fine-tuning of fundamentals, e.g., building a durable grip, achieving a proper sight picture, executing a smooth trigger press, and managing your gun through recoil.
  • Introduction to engaging multiple targets at various distances and angles, shooting while moving, and working under time constraints to introduce stress.

  • Train for accountability honing the ability to decide the level of confirmation needed to get accurate hits based on a target’s size and distance, and your skill level.

Documentation Requirements

Valid state driver's license or state photo ID is required.

You'll be required to sign two waivers the morning of class.

The instructor requires a copy of your Government Issued ID once you register.

Requirements

  • You must have your own semi-auto pistol to attend class. I’m available to help you select and purchase a pistol.
  • You'll need electronic ear and eye protection.
  • You will need a minimum of 500 rounds of ammunition. More is better. 
  • Bring a speed loader (I recommend Uplula).
  • Bring a baseball cap and sun screen.
  • Bring lunch, plenty of water and some snacks. We take a short 15 minute break. I recommend eating light on the range.
